What a great opportunity! God has opened the door for me to teach and minister in Albania & Kosovo. This is especially amazing because Albania was actually the first country in the world to officially declare themselves as atheist – of course now they are mostly muslim. I  was so privileged to serve as a full-time missionary to the West Indies over a 14 year period of time from 1991-2005. Now I try to go back there at least once a year to do a lot of ministry at the schools, churches, radio stations, and other ministries that I worked with while a full-time missionary. God blessed me with so many wonderful friends in Puerto Rico and elsewhere that it is always an awesome experience to be able to renew those relationships and spend time with people I love and respect.

This year I was blessed to be able to visit from May 15-30 and had an amazing time. I preached & ministered over 20 times, recorded several weeks of radio programs on WBMJ to be broadcast after I leave, spend a lot of wonderful time with the people of Wesleyan Academy, had the best fellowship with the great people of the En Tus Manos Gang, and basically had every minute filled with spending time with so many wonderful friends. I also had the privilege of ministering twice to a group of amazing college-aged students from the University of Puerto Rico – they call themselves the Solomon’s Porch and are led by Melito – this is one of the most awesome Christian groups I have seen in a long time – they love the Lord, they challenge themselves to go deeper in prayer and studying the Word, and they help and encourage each other in a way that allows Christ to do great things in their lives. I want to thank all of the people who were a part of my visit – you are awesome people whom I love and whom I miss a lot when I am not able to be there.

JSL Ministries is now broadcasting daily Christian radio programs into Turkey and Iraq! Only God could open up these doors! We are now broadcasting a 15 minute program five days a week in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, in both English and Turkish – so that gives us 30 minutes a day to tell a potential audience of over 7 million people about the awesome love of God! We are also broadcasting the Word of God to over 3 million people in Kurdish in the area of Erbil, Iraq.

God is moving in amazing ways around the world through JSL Ministries, Inc.! Imagine being able to share the Word of God with millions of people in two if the least likely countries in the world, countries where people are often persecuted and even killed for their faith in the salvation message of Jesus Christ.Please be praying that these programs will make a difference in the hearts and lives of everyone who hears them, and then pray that many people will tune in daily. There have already been good reports from the audience in Turkey, so we know people are listening. We just started the programs in Iraq so are praying for good reports from there also.

Turkey and Iraq are countries with almost 100 percent Muslim populations. They are great people who have been through a lot of trauma in their lives. They are sincere people who just need to know that they have a choice of whom they serve and worship as their God. The Bible says that people perish for the lack of knowledge, so we want to make sure they get introduced to the God of love, truth and mercy – the God who wants a personal relationship with each one of them.

God is doing great things through JSL Ministries! We continue to respond to God’s call all around the world. We are especially excited about what God is doing through the radio ministry of JSL Ministries, Inc. 

I invite you to be excited with us as we minister by radio Ankara, Turkey and Erbil, Kurdistan, Iraq. It is nothing short of a miracle that we now have a daily radio program in two countries which are almost totally Muslim. The broadcasts go out to a total potential audience of over ten million people! (10,000,000) Only God could make such an opportunity available! I record the 15 minute broadcasts here in Oklahoma and then send them to Turkey and Iraq by internet. In Turkey the shows are broadcast both in English and in Turkish, and broadcast in Kurdish in Iraq. These programs are broadcast in two countries where the Christian message of salvation and freedom in Christ are not welcome messages. The radio stations often receive horrible threats of bodily harm – I ask you to pray for their safety, and that the Word of God would be heard and accepted by many.

I am a soldier in the army of my God. The Lord Jesus Christ is my commanding officer. The Holy Bible is my code of conduct. Faith, prayer, and the Word are my weapons of warfare.

I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity, and tested by fire.

I am a volunteer in this army, and I am enlisted for eternity.

I will either retire in this army at the rapture or die in this army; but I will not get out, sell out, be talked out, or pushed out. I am faithful, reliable, capable and dependable.

If my God needs me, I am there. If He needs me in Sunday school, to teach the children, work with the youth, help adults or just sit and learn He can use me because I am there!

I am a soldier; I am not a baby. I do not need to be pampered, petted, primed up, pumped up, picked up or pepped up. I am a soldier. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me, or lure me. I am a soldier. I am not a wimp.

I am in place, saluting my King, obeying His orders, praising His name, and building His kingdom! No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards, candy or give me handouts. I do not need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for or catered to. I am committed. I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit.

When Jesus called me into this army, I had nothing. If I end up with nothing, I will still come out ahead. I will win. My God has and will continue to supply all of my needs. I am more than a conqueror. I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ. Devils cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me. Battles cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me.

Governments cannot silence me and hell cannot handle me. I am a soldier. Even death cannot destroy me. For when my commander calls me from this battlefield, He will promote me to Captain and then allow me to rule with Him.

I am a soldier in the army, and I am marching claiming victory. I will not give up. I will not turn around. I am a soldier, marching heaven bound. Here I stand! I will not turn around.
