I would appreciate your prayers and financial support for my mission trip to Kazakhstan in August. I was there a few years ago, so am excited to see what God is doing in the lives of those great people.

God is obviously already at work preparing the hearts of the people to receive from Him. Remember that the country of Kazakhstan was carved out of what used to be Russia, so many (most) of the people come from the communist atheistic way of thinking.

I am always excited when God opens the door for me to go to a country where the people have not effectively heard the message of how God loves them so much, and wants a personal relationship with each one. Many times, in many countries around the world, I have seen God soften very hard hearts, and then speaks His saving truth into their lives. I have been privileged to see thousands of people accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior in the middle of cultures that actively reject God’s truth, and even persecute believers. Let’s pray that God would prepare many hearts to hear from Him as He works through me in Kazakhstan.

Your financial support makes a huge difference – these ministry trips are very expensive, but they are an incredible investment in building the Kingdom of God in very needy places around the world. Just push the “Donate” button on most pages of this website, and invest in what God is doing through JSL Ministries, Inc. God bless you for your faithful prayer and financial support.

I was so privileged to serve as a full-time missionary to the West Indies over a 14 year period of time from 1991-2005. Now I try to go back there at least once a year to do a lot of ministry at the schools, churches, radio stations, and other ministries that I worked with while a full-time missionary. God blessed me with so many wonderful friends in Puerto Rico and elsewhere that it is always an awesome experience to be able to renew those relationships and spend time with people I love and respect.

This year I was blessed to be able to visit from May 15-30 and had an amazing time. I preached & ministered over 20 times, recorded several weeks of radio programs on WBMJ to be broadcast after I leave, spend a lot of wonderful time with the people of Wesleyan Academy, had the best fellowship with the great people of the En Tus Manos Gang, and basically had every minute filled with spending time with so many wonderful friends. I also had the privilege of ministering twice to a group of amazing college-aged students from the University of Puerto Rico – they call themselves the Solomon’s Porch and are led by Melito – this is one of the most awesome Christian groups I have seen in a long time – they love the Lord, they challenge themselves to go deeper in prayer and studying the Word, and they help and encourage each other in a way that allows Christ to do great things in their lives. I want to thank all of the people who were a part of my visit – you are awesome people whom I love and whom I miss a lot when I am not able to be there.

Hello my friends, I want to thank everyone who support JSL Ministries, Inc. – you made it possible for me to go to Haiti to help the over a million people who were devastated by the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit them on January 12th. I led a team of doctors from the In His Image Family Medicine Residency Program in Tulsa (www.inhisimage.org). We were the first medical team on the ground in downtown Port Au Prince, where the epicenter of the earthquake hit. I encourage everyone to go to my Facebook page (Joel S. Leitch) to look at many of the pictures I took while we were there. Since we were the first doctors there we immediately began treating absolutely horrible injuries, most of which would have had people in the United States admitted into the intensive care unit of most hospitals. We treated horrible gashes & punctures & crush wounds the people sustained by concrete buildings falling on them, and trapping many of them for extended periods of time. There were numerous reports from people who had lost their entire families in the quake – mothers would share that they had lost several of their children, etc. It was truly horrible. We did not have any general anesthesia so the days were filled with screams and crying as we cleaned & sutured their wounds. We also amputated about 100 various body parts. In the midst of it all there was still reason to rejoice! Several hundred people accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior! We also delivered several babies which we interpreted as God’s way of saying that He wasn’t done with Haiti yet – it was amazing to see the new life come out of such total destruction.

None of this would have been possible without your prayers and financial support. There is still much to do in this world – I ask each of you to support the ongoing outreach efforts of JSL Ministries, Inc. with your prayers and financial support. You can support us financially by simply pressing one of the “Donate” buttons on this website. I encourage you to consider being a monthly financial supporter – that helps us plan ahead as we consider what God would like to accomplish through us in the future. Feel free to contact us if you have any prayer requests, comments or questions.

Thank-you so much and may God richly bless each of you, Pastor Joel

It is true! God can open doors that noone else can open – He showed Himself to be so faithful during my recent mission trip to Turkey and Iraq. God has given me the vision of reaching the unreached populations around the world with His Good News. It was easy to see that God was giving me great favor with many people as He made opportunities to minister to people that would not normally be available – especially people who have leadership responsibilities in the areas of medine, mental health, and radio. I want to thank all of you who were with me through your prayers and financial support – you make the difference – without your support JSL Ministries would not be able to accomplish anything of true value. My prayer is that God would multiply your kindness and blessings back to you.

I am a soldier in the army of my God. The Lord Jesus Christ is my commanding officer. The Holy Bible is my code of conduct. Faith, prayer, and the Word are my weapons of warfare.

I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity, and tested by fire.

I am a volunteer in this army, and I am enlisted for eternity.

I will either retire in this army at the rapture or die in this army; but I will not get out, sell out, be talked out, or pushed out. I am faithful, reliable, capable and dependable.

If my God needs me, I am there. If He needs me in Sunday school, to teach the children, work with the youth, help adults or just sit and learn He can use me because I am there!

I am a soldier; I am not a baby. I do not need to be pampered, petted, primed up, pumped up, picked up or pepped up. I am a soldier. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me, or lure me. I am a soldier. I am not a wimp.

I am in place, saluting my King, obeying His orders, praising His name, and building His kingdom! No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards, candy or give me handouts. I do not need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for or catered to. I am committed. I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit.

When Jesus called me into this army, I had nothing. If I end up with nothing, I will still come out ahead. I will win. My God has and will continue to supply all of my needs. I am more than a conqueror. I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ. Devils cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me. Battles cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me.

Governments cannot silence me and hell cannot handle me. I am a soldier. Even death cannot destroy me. For when my commander calls me from this battlefield, He will promote me to Captain and then allow me to rule with Him.

I am a soldier in the army, and I am marching claiming victory. I will not give up. I will not turn around. I am a soldier, marching heaven bound. Here I stand! I will not turn around.

Will you stand with me?
